Reaction Steps
Using the hydrolytic procedure of Step B but substituting the ester of Step D for the ester of Step A provided the title compound, which was recrystallized from 1:1EtOAc/hexane. m.p. 208° C. Anal C, H, N: Calc. C 69.55; H 6.01; N 4.77, Found C 69.77; H 6.05; N 4.70.
