Reaction Steps

To a stirred mixture of 2-morpholinoquinolin-8-ol (200 mg, 0.87 mmol) in MeCN (5 mL) was added ethyl bromoacetate (216 mg, 1.31 mmol) and K2CO3 (360 mg, 2.61 mmol). The mixture was stirred at 80° C. for 4 hours. After filtration, the filtrate was concentrated to give crude product which was used directly for the next step (250 mg, Yield 90%).
