3-((1H-Imidazol-1-yl)methyl)-N-(2-(5-chloro-1H-indol-3-yl)ethyl)benzamide was prepared following Method C starting from N-(2-(5-chloro-1H-indol-3-yl)ethyl)-3-(chloromethyl)benzamide (0.050 g; 0.144 mmol), imidazole (0.034 g; 0.5 mmol) and sodium iodide (0.090 g; 0.6 mmol) in THF (3 mL), under a microwave irradiation at 150° C. for 20 minutes. Flash chromatography on silica gel (eluent 0 to 10% methanol in dichloromethane) furnished 0.009 g (16%) of the title compound as a white solid.
