N-(2-(5-chloro-1H-indol-3-yl)ethyl)-3-(morpholinomethyl)benzamide was prepared following Method C starting from N-(2-(5-chloro-1H-indol-3-yl)ethyl)-3-(chloromethyl)benzamide (0.050 g; 0.144 mmol), morpholine (0.046 mL; 0.5 mmol) and sodium iodide (0.153 g; 1.01 mmol) in THF (3 mL), under a microwave irradiation at 150° C. for 10 minutes. Flash chromatography on silica gel (eluent 0 to 5% methanol in dichloromethane) furnished 0.044 g (76%) of the title compound as a white solid.
