(S)-4-((tetrahydrofuran-3-yl)oxy)pyrimidin-2-amine (intermediate 62, 33 mg, 0.182 mmol) was dissolved in DCM (4 ml), treated with NBS (35.7 mg, 0.200 mmol) and stirred at 25° C. for 1 h. The reaction solution was diluted in DCM and washed with NaOH (1 M in water) and brine. The organic layer was dried over Na2SO4, filtered and concentrated under vacuum to obtain the title compound as a white solid. (UPLC-MS 3) tR 0.67 min; ESI-MS 260.1, 262.0 [M+H]+.
