Reaction Steps

To a solution of compound 109d (40 g, 0.13 mol, 1.0 eq) and TEA (40 g, 0.39 mol, 3.0 eq) in DCM (800 mL) was added a solution of CbzCl (45 g, 0.26 mol, 2.0 eq) in DCM (150 mL) slowly. The resulting mixture was stirred at room temperature for 16 h. The mixture was quenched with water, washed with 1N HCl (500 mL), the organic layer was dried over Na2SO4 and concentrated to give benzyl 6-[tert-butyl(dimethyl)silyl]oxy-3-(2-methoxy-2-oxo-ethyl)-8-azabicyclo[3.2.1]octane-8-carboxylate 109e as a crude product.
