A solution formed by dissolving 1-ethylpiperidin-4-yl (2R)-((1R)-3,3-difluorocyclopentyl)-2-hydroxy-2-(4-chlorophenyl)-ethanoate in 1 ml of ethyl iodide at room temperature was stirred for 12 hours at 70° C. Excessive reagent was distilled off under reduced pressure, and the residue was purified on preparative thin layer chromatography (Aluminiumoxide™60F254, Art5713 (Merck), chloroform/methanol=3/1) to provide 14 mg of the title compound as a colorless solid.
