Procedure
A solution of {2-[6-Oxo-1-(2-phenethylamino-pyrimidin-4-yl)-8-phenyl-1,3,4,6-tetrahydro-2H-pyrimido[1,2-a]pyrimidin-3-yl]-ethyl}-carbamic acid benzyl ester (100 mg, 0.17 mmol), dichloromethane (5 mL) and methanol (15 mL) was added 10% palladium on carbon (5 mg) and stirred at room temperature over an atmosphere of hydrogen overnight. Reaction filtered through a bed of Celite, and solvent removed under vacuum to afford a white solid. M+1=468.
