Reaction Steps
N-[1-(4-Amino-benzoyl)-2-methyl-1,2,3,4-tetrahydro-quinolin-4-yl]-N-(4-chloro-phenyl)-acetamide (156 mg, 0.373 mmol) was dissolved in methylene chloride (3 mL) and was added triethylamine (0.078 mL, 0.559 mmol) and 1-chloro-2-isocyanato-ethane 0.038 mL, 0.448 mmol). The reaction was stirred at room temperature over night, and the reaction was quenched with sat. aq. NaHCO3. The residue was partitioned between methylene chloride and water, then extracted three times with methylene chloride, dried over MgSO4, filtered and concentrated down. The crude residue was purified by silica gel chromatography (ethyl acetate) to afford the product.
