As described for example 84d, [3-(4-bromo-2-cyano-phenyl)-5-methyl-3H-imidazol-4-ylmethyl]-trimethyl-ammonium; iodide (example 84c) was reacted with (4-oxo-4H-pyridin-1-yl)-acetic acid hydrazide. After evaporation of the solvent the residue was concentrated and chromatographed (SiO2, dichloromethane:methanol=100:0 to 92:8). Trituration with methanol/diisopropylether afforded the title compound as an off-white solid (yield: 33%). MS: m/e=425.0/423.0 [M+H]+.
