Reaction Steps
7.3 g of methyl 2-benzyloxy-5-(1-hydroxy-2-{3-[3-(4-methoxy-phenyl)-[1,2,4]triazol-1-yl]-1,1-dimethyl-propylamino}-ethyl)-benzoate are placed in 100 mL tetrahydrofuran and reduced with a total of 6.8 g of calcium chloride dissolved in ethanol and 4.6 g of sodium borohydride as described for Example 1c. The product is obtained after purification by column chromatography (CHCl3/MeOH/NH3=90/10/0.5) and subsequent recrystallisation from acetonitrile.
