Procedure
A mixture of 1-[1-(4-fluorophenethyl)piperidin-4-yl]-6-aminomethylindole (150 mg) obtained in Example 322-3), propiolactone (30 mg) and toluene (10 ml) was heated under reflux for 2 hr. Then the reaction solution was concentrated under reduced pressure and the residue was purified by silica gel column chromatography (ethyl acetate/ethanol system) to give the title compound (150 mg) as an oil. This oil was then crystallized from ethyl acetate by using oxalic acid (32 mg) to give the oxalate (100 mg) of the title compound as a pale yellow amorphous substance (yield: 45%).
