20 g (120 mmol) of 3-amino-4-methoxybenzoic acid were made to react with 36 g (168 mmol) of 2,4-dichlorobenzoyl isocyanate from step a in 400 ml of acetonitrile and left to react therewith at reflux for 2 hours. After the mixture has cooled down to room temperature, the precipitate is filtered off with suction, washed twice with in each case 20 ml of acetonitrile, sucked dry and dried under high vacuum. 44 g (96%) of the desired product are obtained.
