Reaction Steps
A mixture of 2-methylbut-3-yn-2-ol (2.00 g), tributyltinhydride (10.5 g) and αα′-azobisisobutyronitrile (190 mg) was heated (neat) to 80° C. under stirring. After 4 h the reaction mixture was cooled to room temperature. The crude product was purified by chromatography eluting with petroleum ether/Et2O 7:1 to afford the title compound as a liquid.
