5-1,3-Benzodioxol-5-yl-3′,4′,5′,6′-tetrahydro-2′H-2,4′-bipyridinyl-1′-carboxylic acid tert-butyl ester (0.250 g, 0.65 mmol) was dissolved in DCM (12 ml), TFA (3 ml) was added and the reaction mixture was stirred at room temperature for two hours. Water and 1 N NaOH was added, the DCM phase was washed and dried with Na2SO4. Evaporation afforded 150 mg white crystalline compound (81%).
