Reaction Steps
To a 10 mL round bottomed flask equipped with a magnetic stir bar, rubber septum and argon inlet containing DMF (0.5 mL) was placed 134 (49 mg, 0.054 mmol). To this solution K2CO3 (22 mg, 0.162 mmol) and 3-bromoprop-1-yne (0.01 mL, 0.0702 mmol) were added and the reaction was allowed to stir at 60° C. for 12 h. The reaction was then poured into water (50 mL) and extracted into EtOAc (3×20 mL). The combined organic extracts were washed with water (20 mL), brine (20 mL), dried over MgSO4 and concentrated in vacuo used for next step without further purification.
