To a stirred solution of a mixture of TFA/CH2Cl2 (5 mL/10 mL), rac-4-{[(2R,3S,4R,5S)-3-(3-chloro-2-fluoro-phenyl)-4-(4-chloro-2-fluoro-phenyl)-4-cyano-5-(2,2-dimethyl-propyl)-pyrrolidine-2-carbonyl]-amino}-piperidine-1-carboxylic acid tert-butyl ester (example 92, 510 mg, 0.79 mmol) was added and the mixture was stirred at rt for 15 min. The solvent was removed and the residue dried to give a white solid after precipation from methylene chloride and ethyl acetate. 492 mg.
