A solution of (2S,4R)-4-dimethylamino-pyrrolidine-2-carboxylic acid methyl ester (Stage B.1, 225 mg) and 7 M ammonia in MeOH (7 mL) was stood for 18 h at it in a sealed vessel. Evaporation and trituration with Et2O gave the title compound as a white solid.
