Reaction Steps
Compound A (4.5 g) was dissolved in pyridine (80 mL). Hydroxylamine hydrochloride (1.8 g, 26.4 mmol) was added, followed by sufficient water to dissolve the solids. The mixture was stirred at room temperature overnight. The solids were filtered, washed with water, and dried under vacuum to yield compound B (4.0 g).
