4-[1-(1-Cyclopentylbut-3-yn-1-yl)-1H-pyrazol-4-yl]-7H-pyrrolo[2,3-d]pyrimidine trifluoro-acetate salt (prepared in Example 729) (20 mg, 0.048 mmol) was dissolved in methanol (2 mL) and a catalytic amount of 5% Pd—C was added. The mixture was stirred under 1 atmosphere of hydrogen via an affixed balloon. After 2 hours, the mixture was filtered and purified via preparative-HPLC/MS (C18 eluting with a gradient of H2O and ACN containing 0.1% TFA) to afford the product (14 mg, 69%).
