Procedure

As an alternative to method e,) the product of step c (0.5 g, 0.8 mmol) was dissolved in dioxane (5 mL) and treated with 4N HCl/dioxane (20 mL, 80 mmol) under an atmosphere of argon. After stirring at room temperature for 15 hours, a white solid was formed. This material was isolated and then dried to give 0.24 g (73%) of the title compound.

Workup

  1. customa white solid was formed
  2. customThis material was isolated
  3. customdried
