A reaction mixture of N4-[(trans-4-aminocyclohexyl)methyl]-5-nitro-N2-[2-(trifluoromethoxy)benzyl]pyrimidine-2,4-diamine (50 mg, 0.11 mmol) and 1,2-epoxy-2-methylpropanol (500 μL) in ethanol (1 mL) was heated to 100° C. for 1 h in a microwave. The reaction mixture was concentrated and the resulting residue was purified by silica gel preparative TLC using 10:1 CH2Cl2:MeOH as an eluent to afford 28 mg (47%) of the title compound as a white solid, m/z 513.5 [M+1]+
