Step F (2): To a solution of tert-butyl 4-(4-methylpiperazin-1-yl)benzylcarbamate (30 mg, 0.1 mmol) from step F (1) in CH2Cl2 (1.0 mL) was added NCS (14 mg, 0.1 mmol). The mixture was stirred at rt for 4 h, and then the mixture was concentrated to give tert-butyl 3-chloro-4-(4-methylpiperazin-1-yl)benzylcarbamate which was used without purification in the next step. LC-MS (M+H)+=340.29 1H-NMR (500 MHz, CD3OD) δ 7.30 (s, 1 H), 7.18 (d, J=8.24 Hz, 1 H), 7.10 (d, J=8.24 Hz, 1 H), 4.16 (s, 2 H), 3.00-3.15 (m, 4 H), 2.62-2.81 (m, 7 H), 1.50(s, 9 H).
