Procedure
Methyl trans-4-{[(2-{[(5-chloropyridin-2-yl)-amino]carbonyl}benzofuran-3-yl)amino]carbonyl}cyclohexane-carboxylate (300 mg) obtained in Example 8(1) is suspended in tetrahydrofuran-methanol (4:1) (10 ml) and thereto is added 10% aqueous sodium hydroxide solution (1 ml). The mixture is warmed to room temperature and stirred for 17 hours. The reaction solution is concentrated under reduced pressure, thereto added ice-water, and the mixture is acidified by addition of 10% hydrochloric acid. The precipitates are collected by filtration, washed with water, and dried to give trans-4-{[(2-{[(5-chloropyridin-2-yl)amino]carbonyl}benzofuran-3-yl)amino]carbonyl}-cyclohexanecarboxylic acid (270 mg).
