Following the procedure for the preparation of 6,7-dihydro-5H-cyclopenta[b]pyridin-5-amine but substituting 2-ethyl-6-methoxy-2,3-dihydro-1H-inden-1-one oxime and making non-critical variations provided the title compound as a oil: 1H NMR (CDCl3) δ 1.03, 1.39, 2.30, 2.63, 2.86, 3.82, 4.26, 6.77, 7.12;
