Following the procedure for the preparation of (1R,2S)-1-[(3,6-diethylpyrazin-2-yl)amino]-2,3-dihydro-1H-inden-2-ol but substituting 6-ethyl-6,7-dihydro-5H-cyclopenta[b]pyridin-7-amine and making non-critical variations provided the title compound as a oil: 1H NMR (400 MHz, CDCl3) δ) 8.41, 7.66, 7.58, 7.15, 5.53, 4.89, 3.15, 2.71–2.57, 2.31, 2.01, 1.99, 1.65, 1.34, 1.22, 1.04; HRMS (FAB) calcd for C18H24N4+H 297.2079, found 297.2080.
