Reaction Steps
Prepared by treating 1u with boron tribromide (3 eq) in CH2Cl2 at room temperature. Yield (57%); 1H NMR (d6-DMSO) δ 12.15 (br s, 1H), 10.19 (s, 1H), 7.41–7.02 (m, 17H), 6.86 (d, J=8.0 Hz, 2H), 6.42 (d, J=15.7 Hz, 1H), 2.37 (q, J=7.4 Hz, 2H), 0.83 (t, J=7.4 Hz, 3H); APcI m/z: 510 (M+H+).
