Procedure

Using an analogous procedure to that described in the last paragraph of the portion of Note [10] immediately above that is concerned with the preparation of starting materials, 4-chloro-6-hydroxy-5-tetrahydropyran-4-yloxyquinazoline (1.12 g) was reacted with 1-(3-hydroxypropyl)-4-methylpiperazine to give 4-chloro-6-[3-(4-methylpiperazin-1-yl)propoxy]-5-tetrahydropyran-4-yloxyquinazoline (0.56 g); NMR Spectrum: (CDCl3) 1.85–2.2 (m, 6H), 2.32 (s, 3H), 2.35–2.7 (m, 10H), 3.42 (m, 2H), 4.05 (m, 2H), 4.25 (m, 2H), 4.65 (m, 1H), 7.75 (d, 1H), 7.85 (d, 1H), 8.9 (s, 1H); Mass Spectrum: M+H+ 421 and 423.
