A stirred solution of 4-[(2-chloro-6-methyl-pyrimidin-4-ylamino)-methyl]-piperidine-1-carboxylic acid benzyl ester (EXAMPLE 57, 0.5 g, 1.33 mmol) in 2,4-dimethoxybenzylamine (1.00 mL, 6.67 mmol) was heated at 100° C. for 6 h, then cooled to rt and purified by silica gel chromatography [1-10 (10% NH4OH in MeOH)/99-90 CH2Cl2)] to give 4-{[2-(2,4-dimethoxy-benzylamino)-6-methyl-pyrimidin-4-ylamino]-methyl}-piperidine-1-carboxylic acid benzyl ester.
