tert-Butyl (E)-3-{8-[2-(4-isopropyl-1,3-thiazol-2-yl)ethyl]-2-hydroxy-4-oxo-4H-pyrido[1,2-a]pyrimidin-3-yl}-2-propenoate (15 mg) was treated with formic acid (1 ml) in the dark for 1 hour, and added with toluene. The solvent was evaporated under reduced pressure to obtain the title compound (22 mg).
