The methyl (E)-3-{2-(3-formylpiperidino)-8-[2-(4-isopropyl-1,3-thiazol-2-yl)-ethyl]-4-oxo-4H-pyrido[1,2-a]pyrimidin-3-yl}-2-propenoate (80.9 mg, 0.158 mmol) obtained in (A) was dissolved in ethanol (3 ml), added with 5% palladium/carbon (30 mg) and stirred at 1 atm for 2 days under hydrogen atmosphere. The catalyst was removed by filtration, and the filtrate was concentrated. The resulting residue was purified by preparative TLC (chloroform:methanol=100:2) to obtain the title compound (23.1 mg, 28%).
