Reaction Steps

To a solution of 1.58 g (3.3 mmol) of 2G in 10 mL of dichloromethane (distilled over CaH2) was added trifluoroacetic acid at room temperature, and the mixture was allowed to stir at room temperature for 30 minutes. The resulting reaction mixture was concentrated under reduced pressure to dryness and purified by silica gel column chromatography to give 1.6 g (3.3 mmol, 98%) of 2H as a colorless gum (M+H, 371).
