Procedure

To a solution of compound (156) (0.20 g, 0.63 mmol) in dichloromethane (3 ml) were added pyridine (0.05 ml, 0.63 mmol) and acetyl chloride (0.04 ml, 0.63 mmol) under ice-cooling. The reaction mixture was warmed to room temperature and, after stirring for one hr., partitioned between ethyl acetate and brine. The aqueous layer was extracted with ethyl acetate, and the extracts were combined and dried (MgSO4). The solvent was evaporated under reduced pressure. The obtained residue was crystallized from ethyl acetate to give white crystals (0.17 g, 76%).
