When equivalent amounts of 4,7-dimethoxy-1,3-diiminoisoindoline and 2-(2-methylbutylamino)-4-imino-2-thiazoline hydrochloride are substituted for the 1,3-diiminoisoindoline and 2-piperidino-4-imino-2-thiazoline hydrochloride respectively, in the procedure described in Example 9, part B above, there is obtained as the product 1-imino-4,7-dimethoxy-3-[2-(2-methylbutylamino)-4-imino-2-thiazolin-5-ylidene]isoindoline hydrochloride.
