A mixture of 20 mg (0.034 mmol) (Z)-2-(3,5-bis-trifluoromethyl-phenyl)-N-methyl-N-(6-styryl-4-o-tolyl-pyridin-3-yl)-isobutyramide (Example 73) and 2 mg 10% palladium on carbon in 1 ml methanol was stirred at room temperature under an atmosphere of hydrogen gas for 2 h. The reaction mixture was filtered and concentrated. Column chromatography afforded 14 mg (72%) of the title compound as an orange waxy solid.
