Procedure

1-Methoxyimino-7-nitro-tetralin (252 mg, 1.14 mmol) was treated with 10% Pd-C (25 mg) in MeOH (5 mL) and hydrogenated at 1 atm for 2 h. The mixture was filtered through Celite to give a yellowish solid (208 mg, 96% yield).
