Procedure

Reaction of 4-fluorobenzaldehyde with ethoxylamine hydrochloride as described in the preparation of compound 3-A gave the title oxime ether as a clear oil after chromatography on silica gel (elution toluene-ethyl acetate 95:5) and distillation (58% yield). 1HNMR 400 MHz (CDCl3) δ (ppm): 1.35 (3H, t, J=7.07 Hz, CH3), 4.24 (2H, q, J=7.07 Hz, OCH2), 7.08 (2H, m, aromatics), 7.59 (2H, m, aromatics), 8.07 (1H, s, CH).
