The product from Example 1 (0.1 g) in methylene chloride (10 mL) was stirred overnight with methyl chloroformate (0.04 mL) and pyridine (0.06 mL). The reaction mixture was evaporated under reduced pressure and the residue was chromatographed on silica gel eluting with 5% ethanol/methylene chloride to provide 0.038 g of the title compound. 1H NMR (DMSO-d6) δ 2.32 (t, 2H), 2.72 (m, 2H), 3.65 (s, 3H), 3.7 (s, 3H), 4.72 (s, 1H), 7.11 (m, 1H), 7.22 (t, 1H), 7.32 (dd, 1H), 10.80 (s, 1H); MS (ESI+) m/z 438 (M+H)+; Anal. Calcd for C18H15N3BrFO4: C, 49.54; H, 3.44; N, 9.63. Found: C, 49.69; H, 3.27; N, 9.72.
