300 mg of 1-[(2-Oxo-1,2-dihydro-3-pyridinyl)methyl]-2-[3-(2-pyridyl)propyl]piperidine obtained in Example 178, 0.2 ml of (bromomethyl)cyclopropane and 610 mg of potassium carbonate were suspended in 5 ml of N,N-dimethylformamide (DMF), and the mixture were stirred at 80° C. for 4 hours. Water was added thereto, and the mixture was extracted with ethyl acetate. The extract was dried over sodium sulfate. The drying agent was filtered off, and the solvent was evaporated. The residue was purified by NH-silica gel column chromatography (hexane:ethyl acetate=2:1, subsequently 1:1, and subsequently ethyl acetate), to give 150 mg of the objective oil.
