Procedure

A solution of 3-methoxyphenyl isocyanate (1.0 g, 6.7 mmol) in anhydrous dichloromethane (10 mL) was treated with 2,6-difluorobenzylamine (960 mg, 6.7 mmol) and stirred at ambient temperature for 1 hour. The reaction mixture was filtered, and washed with dichloromethane to give a white solid (1.47 g, 50.3%), MS (CI) m/z 293.0 (MH+).
