To a solution of 3-[(3-phenoxyphenyl)[[3-(1,1,2,2-tetrafluoroethoxy) phenyl]-methyl]amino]-1,1,1-trifluoro-2-propanol (474 mg, 0.00094 mol) in 4.5 mL of dichloromethane at 0° C. was added (diethylamino)sulfur trifluoride (378 mg, 0.0023 mol). The reaction mixture was warmed to room temperature and stirred for 2 h, then quenched with water and extracted with dichloromethane.
