To a solution of 4-[3-(3,5-dichloro-phenyl)-4,4,4-trifluoro-3-nitromethyl-butyryl]-2-methyl-N-thietan-3-yl-benzamide (Example I21) (78 mg) in DMF (1.5 ml) zinc powder (48 mg) was added at ambient temperature. The reaction mixture was heated to 80° C. and concentrated hydrochloric acid (0.3 ml) was added drop-wise. The reaction mixture was stirred at 80° C. for 4 hours. Water was added and the mixture was extracted twice with ethyl acetate. The combined organic phases were washed with brine, dried over sodium sulfate and concentrated. The residue was purified by prep. HPLC to give give 4-[4-(3,5-dichloro-phenyl)-4-trifluoromethyl-4,5-dihydro-3H-pyrrol-2-yl]-2-methyl-N-thietan-3-yl-benzamide (12 mg). 1H-NMR (400 MHz, CDCl3): 7.75-7.25 (m, 6H), 6.35 (s, 1H), 5.45 (m, 1H), 4.90 (d, 1H), 4.45 (d, 1H), 3.82 (d, 1H), 3.55-3.38 (m, 5H), 2.48 (s, 3H) ppm.
