Procedure

202 mg (0.58 mmol, 1.0 eq) sodium 4-dodecylbenzenesulfonate was dissolved in 1 ml water and 40 μl acetic acid was added. The resulting solution was added to a solution of 100 mg (0.58 mmol) rasagiline in 1 ml acetone. After stirring for 2H, the solution was evaporated in vacuo. The residue was reslurried in 2 ml acetone. The mixture was filtered through cotton wool to remove sodium acetate. The filtrate was evaporated to yield a solid foam (300 mg, 0.58 mmol, quant.).
