Into a 20 mL reaction vessel were combined 4′-methyl-N-((6-methylpyridin-3-yl)methyl)-5-(oxiran-2-yl)biphenyl-3-carboxamide (15 mg, 0.042 mmol), ethanol (2 mL), and morpholine (13 mg, 0.15 mmol). The mixture was heated at 50° C. overnight. The volatiles were removed under reduced pressure and the residue was purified by preparative HPLC (100×21.2 mm C18 column, CH3CN/water[10 mM Et2NH]) to afford the title product.
