BSTFA (0.18 mL; 1.15 mmol) was added to a mixture of 3-aminomethyl-2-chlor-6-fluorobenzoic acid (270 mg; 1.12 mmol, HCl-salt) in 8 mL THF, it was stirred at reflux for 20 min, and then cooled in an ice bath. TEA (0.783 mL; 5.62 mmol) and Piv-Cl (142 μL; 1.16 mmol) in 2 mL THF were added and it was stirred overnight. The solvent was removed i.vac. and the residue was diluted with water and 10 mL HOAc, extracted (3×) with DCM, dried over Na2SO4 and concentrated i vac.
