Procedure
A mixture of 4-chloro-3-(6-chloro-4-methyl-pyridin-3-yl)-N-(2-methoxy-6-methyl-phenyl)-N-methyl-benzamide 2-31 (20.0 mg, 0.048 mmol) and sodium thiomethoxide (3.3 mg, 0.048 mmol) in DMSO (1 mL) was heated at 80° C. for 1 hr. The mixture was partitioned between ethyl acetate and water. The organic layer was separated and purified by HPLC yielding 4-chloro-N-(2-methoxy-6-methyl-phenyl)-N-methyl-3-(4-methyl-6-methyl-sulfanylpyridin-3-yl)-benzamide (4.3 mg). MS (MαH)+: 426.9; tR=7.92 min. (method 2).
