To 4-chloro-5-(4-cyano-6-trifluoromethyl-pyridin-3-yl)-N-(2,6-dimethyl-phenyl)-2-methoxy-benzamide (55.0 mg, 0.12 mmol) in dry DMF (0.5 mL) was added NaH (9.6 mg, 0.32 mmol) and iodomethane (0.15 mL, 0.24 mmol). The mixture was stirred at rt overnight, quenched with 0.5 mL of MeOH and 2 drops of trifluoroacetic acid, and purified via reverse phase preparative LCMS to yield 4-chloro-5-(4-cyano-6-trifluoromethyl-pyridin-3-yl)-N-(2,6-dimethyl-phenyl)-2-methoxy-N-methyl-benzamide 39-1 (8.3 mg).
