To a solution of [2-(4-isopropyl-4H-[1,2,4]triazol-3-yl)-4,5-dihydro-6-oxa-3-thia-1-aza-benzo[e]azulen-8-yl]-methanol (565 mg, 1.65 mmol) in DCM (20 mL) was added Dess-Martin periodinane (1,1,1-Triacetoxy-1,1-dihydro-1,2-benziodoxol-3(1H)-one, 763 mg, 1.80 mmol). The reaction mixture was stirred at RT for 2 hours before being concentrated in vacuo. The resultant residue was purified by flash chromatography (SiO2, gradient 0-3% MeOH in DCM) to yield the title compound as a white solid (547 mg, 98%). LCMS: RT=4.00 min, [M+H]+=341
