Procedure

Following the procedure as described in Example 271 and making variations as required to replace 6-(adamantan-1-ylmethoxy)-5-cyclopropylnicotinic acid with 5-chloro-6-((3,5,7-trifluoroadamantan-1-yl)methoxy)nicotinic acid and to replace 2-methoxyethane- sulfonamide with methyl sulfonamide. Purification by reverse phase HPLC, the title compound was obtained as a colorless solid (0.13 g, 18%): 1H NMR (300 MHz, DMSO-d6) δ 12.24 (br s, 1H), 8.63 (d, J=2.2 Hz, 1H), 8.36 (d, J=2.2 Hz, 1H), 4.29 (s, 2H), 3.33 (s, 3H), 2.24-2.14 (m, 3H), 2.06-1.96 (m, 3H), 1.81-1.74 (m, 6H); MS (ES−) m/z 451.2, 453.2 (M−1).
