Reaction Steps

Following the procedure as described in Example 332 Step 6 and making non-critical variations to replace tert-butyl 4-((2-cyanoadamantan-2-yl)methoxy)-5-cyclopropyl-2-fluorobenzoate with tert-butyl 4-(cyclopentylmethoxy)-5-cyclopropyl-2-fluorobenzoate, the title compound was obtained as a colorless solid (3.0 g, 46%): 1H NMR (300 MHz, CDCl3) δ 7.27 (d, J=7.72 Hz, 1H), 6.85 (d, J=7.72 Hz, 1H), 3.92 (d, J=6.78 Hz, 2H), 2.38-2.22 (m, 1H), 2.05-1.89 (m, 1H), 1.83-1.67 (m, 2H), 1.64-1.44 (m, 4H), 1.41-1.26 (m, 2H), 0.89-0.79 (m, 2H), 0.60-0.52 (m, 2H).
